When ITVX Popped In

As if the aurora lights, a brand-new release, and some fantastic weather wasn’t enough, everything was aligned perfectly for ITVX‘s visit to feature the story behind Ayriel Studios. Timing is everything, as always.

Early morning mists had threatened to hinder the drone footage, but they dissipated just as the team arrived, revealing the valley in all its panoramic glory. Mike the cameraman even remarked that his drive over was one of the best he could remember - good impressions count!

One of our regular artists, the superb violinist Benjamin Baker, happened to be in the area for a concert on the moors just the day before, so he joined us to share his experience of recording up at the studios. Then blew everyone away with some extraordinary playing – it wasn’t just the drone which soared to new heights that morning.

In the west facing garden, basking in glorious sunshine, our artistic director Jamie Walton delighted in explaining the evolution of our studio, from concept to delivery. Meanwhile, technical director Simon Hopkins guided the crew through the entire complex, highlighting our eco-credentials and hi-tech flexibility.

What we love about running this studio is that one never quite knows what is round the corner – our creative journey is always full of surprises!  And we hope that this feature will help us reach out further, spreading the word as well as the joy. . .
